Investment Management Research

IM Research is a cross asset support group spread between Delhi and Dalian that provides comprehensive research support to 110+ Fidelity analysts and select PMs across regions.

The group was formed in February 2004 to provide research support to Asia-Pacific ex-Japan analysts. Since then, we have added US equity, Japan Equity, European & Asia Fixed Income, Global PM and Asia PM support capabilities. The team is organised around sectors and regions and is highly integrated with the respective regional investment research set-ups. The team is also looked upon as a talent nursery for sourcing future Fidelity analysts.

Investment Management Product

The team was established in India in September 2005, and has evolved to a 24-member, multi-skilled team over the years.

It has grown from strength to strength in supporting the communication from asset classes of Equities, Fixed Income, Fidelity Solutions, and Competitor Analysis teams. Today, the team’s output forms the core of fund-related reporting and presentations, and specialists provide a diverse range of support to our Investment Directors in London and Hong Kong. We are an interface between the investment and the Sales and Marketing teams, helping two diverse arms of the asset management business effectively link with each other.

Planning and Analytics

Fidelity Planning is a central function that supports the Global Operating Committee (GOC), President of the Financial Services Business and COO in development and ownership of Fidelity’s business plan, regular KPI reporting and the management processes for supporting strategic decision making.

It also develops and refreshes market and competitive intelligence plans from time to time. The KRAs for the function include Long Term and Annual Planning, Senior Management MI and Competitive Intelligence.

It is also co-located with the Marketing Analytics team which works with Fidelity’s businesses to refine our understanding of customer needs and preferences, provide business insights, maximise return on investment, develop market and competitive intelligence in our key markets to help shape our business planning and support strategic decision making for the company.
