We have two aspects to our intermediary business.
The first aspect involves our intermediary business’ sales team that is responsible for distributing Fidelity’s retail products to intermediaries and wholesalers; chiefly to retail banks, insurance companies, private banks, brokers, investment advisors and other financial intermediaries.
The other aspect involves our sales teams – they work in tandem with Fidelity’s internal business functions to deliver a better solution to these clients. These divisions include departments such as Marketing, Product Development and Corporate Communications teams.
The aim is for these departments to provide support to the sales teams in their efforts to increase sales, build and develop key client relationships, and plan large marketing events – creating a fast-paced working environment. The Institutional business consists of client relationship management, business development, product specialists, support and client services. Within this group, the Consultant Relations Team drives the strength and quality of the relationship Fidelity has with the investment consultant community in order to retain existing business and develop new opportunities.
The Government Institutional Group has been serving institutional clients for over 40 years. This group was established to consolidate and develop the firm’s relationships with Sovereign Wealth Funds (‘SWFs’), central banks, supranationals and public sector pension funds. The firm has long-standing relationships within the Middle East and a selection of European government institutions and recently extended its coverage into Africa and Asia.
