FAQs

One of the key skills we look for is to ask the right questions at the right time.

Here are a few examples of what people generally ask us.

Graduate and Internship Application FAQs

Can I apply to more than one business area?

No. You can only apply to one business area in a recruitment year as we want to make sure you are motivated towards your area of choice.

Can I apply for a summer internship if I’m not in my penultimate year of study?

Our summer internships will not lead to continuous employment and are aimed at those looking for work experience during their studies.

I’m a Masters or PhD student, where should I apply?

You should apply to one of our graduate programmes

Do you accept applications from those students requiring a Tier 1 or Tier 2 under the new points based system to work within the EU?

Yes.

Will travel expenses be reimbursed for attending assessment centres?

Travel expenses will be reimbursed within the guidelines we set.

Will I be given feedback?

Full feedback is given following the interview and assessment centre stages. However we do not provide feedback on applications.

What should I do if I receive an offer from another company?

Let us know your situation and any deadline for accepting the other offer. Don't be afraid to ask the other company to extend the deadline, just be honest with all parties involved.

What type of contract will I receive?

Your contract will be a permanent contract of employment.

What's the recruitment process?

This will depend on the role or programme you apply for, although the process is very thorough to ensure both we and you are sure working at Fidelity is right for you. For all roles you’ll need to complete an online application form. After a telephone interview, you may then need to take an online numerical, inductive reasoning or language test. This will be followed by an assessment centre and the chance to meet the business team and senior managers of the business area you’ve applied to join. This enables you to get a feel for the organisation and the people that work within it. For further details please visit our graduate recruitment process page.

What salary will I receive as a graduate?

We believe in rewarding employees generously. For graduates, this means that our competitive salaries are benchmarked with other leading graduate programmes in the Financial Services industry.
